EEUA at CBIE 2015, Niagara Falls

November 22-25, 2015, EEUA took part in the annual conference of Canadian Bureau of International Education (CBIE).  This year more than 800 professionals in the field of international education from around the globe came to Niagara Falls to discuss the global engagement at the largest conference in Canada. EEUA conducted meetings with universities and educational organizations from US, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, El Salvador, Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guatemala, and Philippines. Canadian colleagues were glad to know that a new regional office of EEUA has been recently opened in Toronto.

Under the inspiring conference theme - Global Engagement (GE): Crossing Borders/Connecting Generations – participants enjoyed fascinating sessions and inspiring presentations as well as established new contacts and enlarged network. Participants came to conclusion that student mobility is more than number of students and global engagement is more than just a mobility of students.

Colleagues from around the globe showed profound interest in cooperation with universities of CIS countries and admitted that this region is often out of radar for students looking for the opportunity of study abroad. And that means that we have a great opportunity to promote our region and attract students and academics. Many participants expressed great interest to the forthcoming event, organized by EEUA - IUNC North America 2016 conference, which will be held in Miami, FL, USA (Feb 11-12, 2016).
