10–13 September 2013 Eastern European University Association participated in the milestone event in international higher education field - the 25th Annual EAIE Conference in Istanbul which has broken all previous EAIE records as the largest conference to date.
The event, which was held in Istanbul Congress Center, brought together more than 4800 higher education professionals from over 90 countries for an inspiring and energizing week of global knowledge exchange at the bridge between continents.
This was a unique chance for EEUA representatives to present the universities of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus to rectors, vice-rectors, international office deans, educators and researchers from all over the world, as well as professionals working in student services, marketing, alumni relations, credential evaluation. The conference format ensured the ideal conditions for meeting distinguished figures and gaining inspiring ideas from them, exchanging knowledge with like-minded professionals and building new partnerships by visiting the conference exhibition which gave the participants the direct access to more than 580 higher education establishments.
On behalf of the associate universities of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, EEUA conducted more than 100 pre-scheduled meetings and managed to find a number of new potential partners for our universities from BRICS countries, as well as Europe, North America, and some of the Asian and Latin America countries. In frame of their cooperation the parties agreed to arrange mutual delegation visits between the universities which will definitely be of great benefit for our universities.
The event was also attended by government representatives and decision makers in international higher education who helped the participants gain valuable insight into the new trends and the future of international higher education creating the ideal platform for weaving the future of global partnerships.
EEUA strongly believes that this information is of utmost importance to our universities and is going to share it with all associate universities to help them choose the best ways to adjust to education market changes and seize the opportunities of tomorrow.
